UK Tour So Far...

One of the main things that has already struck me about this UK tour myself and Cate Ferris are spiralling further into is how different every single show has been. The venues, cities and people have all been so different that it's becoming pretty exciting trying to predict what sort of night you're going to have. Is it going to be an intimate, pin-drop silent folk-type-gig with an audience that is so attentive to every nuance and detail in the music? Or will it be a raucous, sing-along stomp and dance-on-stage type of night? Both scenarios are obviously enjoyable for us to perform in, in very different ways, but it's been really interesting adjusting the performance slightly to suit each place.

So far we've been to Norwich, London (just myself), Halifax, Huddersfield, Manchester and Birmingham, and tonight we are Bristol-bound as we begin the next leg of the tour. And what a hairy, muscular leg it's going to be. It's been fantastic sharing the music in places I'd previously never played, and I can't wait to see how the set continues to develop and adjust as we go along.

Right, must now drink lots of tea and get one last look at Malvern before we get back on the road. I'll leave you with a few of my favourite snaps from the tour so far...
